Electrical and Utilities
Most exhibit booths need some combination of electrical, internet, and other utility services. This page explains how to order and what to expect.
Electrical Service
Electrical is ordered by the specific outlet type and wattage you need. Common options include:
- 120V / 500W or 1000W outlets — for standard lighting, laptops, small monitors
- 120V / 2000W outlets — for larger displays, small appliances
- 208V or 480V service — for machinery, large displays, or high-draw equipment
- 24-hour power — outlets that stay live overnight (required for refrigeration or always-on equipment)
Specify outlet location when ordering. Standard booth orientation places outlets at the back of the booth; request a booth diagram if you need specific placement.
Internet and Network
Wired and wireless internet options include:
- Shared venue Wi-Fi (often included but not reliable for business use)
- Dedicated wired internet with a committed bandwidth (recommended for demos and sales systems)
- Private network / VLAN for multiple devices
For any demo or sales activity, we strongly recommend a dedicated wired connection. Shared Wi-Fi congests quickly during show hours.
Water and Compressed Air
Some booths require plumbing services such as:
- Water line and drain (for food service, demos, or equipment)
- Compressed air (for tools or equipment demos)
- Natural gas or propane (venue-dependent)
These services require advance ordering and may not be available at all venues. Contact us as early as possible if your booth requires plumbing.
Advance vs. On-Site Pricing
Order electrical and utilities before the advance order deadline to lock in the lower rate. On-site orders are typically 25–50% more expensive and subject to availability.
Installation
Electrical installation must be performed by union electricians at most venues. Plan to have power installed before you set up your display or any electronic equipment.
