Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions from ST Productions customers. If your question isn't here, contact us directly.
Ordering
When should I place my order?
As early as possible. Advance order deadlines typically fall 2–3 weeks before move-in and offer significant discounts over on-site pricing.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Yes, up to the advance order deadline. Changes after that deadline are subject to on-site rates and availability.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards and ACH / wire transfers for larger orders. Payment is required before your order is processed.
Drayage and Shipping
What's the difference between drayage and shipping?
Shipping is what your freight carrier charges to transport your materials to the venue or advance warehouse. Drayage is what the show's material handling contractor (us) charges to move your freight from the dock to your booth and back.
Do I get credited if my shipment weighs less than I estimated?
Yes. Actual billable weight is determined at the dock, and credits are applied to your account for any overestimate.
Can I bring my own materials in without paying drayage?
You can hand-carry small items through the main entrance (not the loading dock) without drayage charges. Anything that requires a dolly, cart, or powered equipment — or that comes through the dock — is subject to drayage.
Load-In and Load-Out
Where do I check in?
At the Exhibitor Services Desk, typically near the loading dock or main registration area. See our Show Load In page for full details.
What happens if I don't label my outbound freight?
Unlabeled freight will not be picked up by our staff and may be treated as abandoned by the venue. Always use the ST Productions outbound labels available at the Exhibitor Services Desk.
Storage
Can I access my empties during the show?
No. Cold storage (the boneyard) is not accessible during show hours. If you need access to materials during the show, order hot storage instead.
How much does hot storage cost?
Hot storage is billed per piece per day. Contact us for current pricing.
Labor and Utilities
Can I set up my booth myself?
Generally yes, for small pop-up and table-top displays. Larger builds, forklift work, and overhead rigging require union labor. Check with us about your specific venue before planning.
Is Wi-Fi included at my booth?
Venues usually offer shared Wi-Fi, but it's often unreliable for business use. For demos or sales, order a dedicated wired connection.
